Ring: inflation wiping out social welfare increases

Fine Gael TD Michael Ring has said that spiralling inflation has already eroded increased social welfare payments due to come into effect this week.

Mr Ring said inflation is out of control: "There will have to be a mini-budget in relation to people on social welfare because, since January of this year, every single day, there has been a [price] increase of one sort or another and people are really feeling the pinch."
