Three arrested in connection with Clare shooting

Gardai in Limerick have arrested two men and a woman in connection with the murder of a 39-year-old man at his home in Co Clare last December.

Sean Pollard, a bricklayer and second-hand car salesman, was shot dead in the hallway of his home in Ardnacrusha on New Year's Eve after five or six armed men called to his door.

The gang also tied up Mr Pollard's girlfriend before escaping with an undisclosed sum of cash.

The men arrested this morning are aged 21 and 29, while the woman is 24.
