Morris hears further allegations against Donegal gardai
Key witness Adrienne McGlinchey has told the Morris Tribunal that Detective Noel McMahon and Superintendent Kevin Lennon used a garda surveillance van to transport explosives to Rossknowlagh, Co Donegal, in July 1994.
Ms McGlinchey said the explosives were subsequently found by gardai and presented to the media as a high-profile seizure which had saved lives.
Ms McGlinchey is the second witness to accuse McMahon and Lennon of staging explosives finds to further their own careers.
The two men have denied the charges and have claimed that the explosives were uncovered on foot of information supplied by Ms McGlinchey, who they said was an IRA informer.
Ms McGlinchey has denied ever being an IRA informer and said any information she passed on to gardai was given to her in the first place by Detective McMahon and passed on at his request.
