Men fear adult education not 'macho' enough
Research conducted by Aontas, the national association for adult education, has found that men are reluctant to resume their studies in later life because it is not "macho" enough.
100 men and women who had not completed second-level education were questioned as part of the study.
Aontas said the research found that men would be embarrassed to resume their education in later life and would not receive the kind of support from other men as women would from other women.
