An 86-year-old man has died following a house fire at Charlotte Street in Co Sligo.

An 86-year-old man has died following a house fire at Charlotte Street in Co Sligo.

The fire broke out just after midnight.

The body has been removed to Sligo general hospital.

The scene of the fire is being technically examined.
