Eight arrested in connection with Limerick murder

Gardai in Limerick have arrested six men and two women as part of ongoing investigations into the murder of drug dealer Kieran Keane in the city earlier this year.

The eight were detained during early-morning raids in the Limerick area.

Mr Keane was shot dead on the outskirts of Limerick city on January 29 in an execution-style killing believed to be linked to an ongoing feud between the Keanes and the Ryans.

His murder followed the abduction and subsequent release of Eddie and Kieran Ryan, two members of the rival family.
