The Laffoy Commission is to open a public hearing later today into a vaccine scandal which saw children in six homes administered with experimental injections in 1960 and 1961.

The Laffoy Commission is to open a public hearing later today into a vaccine scandal which saw children in six homes administered with experimental injections in 1960 and 1961.

The Department of Health has already confirmed that 124 children in State care were used as part of the vaccine trial by the multinational drug company Wellcome.
