Women's day events begin around the country
Events are being held around the country today to mark international woman's day.
Political parties, business organisations and unions are coming together to highlight the inequality that still exists between women and men.
The lack of women in the workplace will be highlighted by Fianna Fail, at a conference being held in Citywest.
Meanwhile, the Irish Farmers Association is launching its action plan today to promote greater participation of women in Ireland's agriculture.
Another organisation, for women in business, claim that women are paid less than men and receive no free childcare or contraception.
