Safety Council announces fall in road deaths

The National Safety Council has revealed that road fatalities are down 36% so far this year.

The council said 50 people have died on Ireland's roads so far in 2003, compared to 78 in the same period of 2002.

Seven people have died in road accidents so far in March.
