Lennon to continue cross-examination at Morris Tribunal
The superintendent at the centre of garda corruption allegations in Co Donegal will continue cross-examining a fellow superintendent at the Morris Tribunal later today.
Superintendent Kevin Lennon is currently representing himself while the High Court examines his request to have the State cover his legal costs.
Sheenagh McMahon, the ex-wife of another garda, has accused her former husband and Mr Lennon of staging explosives finds in Co Donegal in the early 1990s to further their own careers.
Superintendent Tom Long, the man to whom she made the allegations and who initiated the subsequent investigation, is currently in the witness box and is due to face further questions from Mr Lennon today.
Meanwhile, Mrs McMahon, who was due to give evidence on Tuesday, is still waiting to take the stand.
