National Women's Council rejects national agreement
The National Women's Council is not endorsing the new national agreement.
The organisation says the new agreement goes not progress equality for women.
It also says "sustaining progress" makes no genuine attempt to address the needs of the marginalised or socially excluded.
"The NWCI entered the national negotiations with a range of proposals including increased childcare provision, increased women's representation in decision making and tackling poverty for women. No progress was made on any of these issues", said Joanna McMinn, Director and negotiator on behalf the NWCI.
