PSNI launches corruption phone line

The North's police service has launched a confidential phone line to allow employees to report corruption, malpractice and bullying within the force.

The service will allow police and civilian staff employed by the PSNI to report breaches of integrity and professionalism to a team of ex-detectives.

Desmond Rea, the chairman of the North's Policing Board, said the phone line was a bold step which would complement the launch of a PSNI code of ethics last month.
