Two brothers accused of murdering the nephew of a Sinn Fein member of the Northern Ireland Assembly were due in court today.

Kieran Kelly, 35, was battered to death and his girlfriend injured in an attack inside his flat on north Belfast’s Antrim Road, on Sunday morning, just days after he moved in.

Detectives probing the killing last night charged brothers, aged 17 and 22, with murder and grievous bodily harm.

They are due to appear before Belfast magistrates today.
