Man remanded in connection with killing
A man arrested in Co Kerry in connection with the murder of a man in Birmingham was today remanded in custody.
The 38-year-old is wanted for questioning by West Midlands Police in Britain in connection with the death of Lee Tongue, who was found stabbed to death on New Year’s Day.
The man, who is from Birmingham, was arrested in Ballinskelligs last night after a warrant was produced for his extradition.
He was remanded in custody until tomorrow after appearing at Dublin’s High Court.
Lee Tongue was found dead in Vardon Way, Kings Norton, in the early hours of New Year’s Day after attending a party.
He was stabbed to death with what police believed to be a samurai sword during a street fight.
