ISPCC to launch Children's Consultation Unit
The Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children is due to launch an initiative today aimed at giving children a say in national policy decisions.
The Children's Consultation Unit will seek the opinions of young people, as well as offering support and advice to organisations who want to develop children's consultation groups.
ISPCC spokesperson Caroline O'Sullivan said: "The main role is ensuring that children have a voice in matters that affect them and that this voice is a very real voice which can mean that children's opinions are heard."
