Cullen to meet backbenchers over dual mandate abolition

Environment Minister Martin Cullen is due to meet today with a number of Fianna Fail backbenchers opposed to his plans to abolish the so-called "dual mandate".

The backbenchers are believed to have expressed their anger at the move during a Fianna Fail parliamentary party meeting yesterday.
