Police question senior loyalists in Derry
Detectives are questioning three senior loyalists after police launched a new crackdown on paramilitary activity in the North.
The men were arrested as officers swooped on their homes in Coleraine, Co. Derry.
They were taken to a special holding centre in Lisburn, Co. Antrim.
Police said the three were being held in relation to “serious crime” in the Coleraine area.
One security source confirmed: “This is in connection with loyalist terrorism.”
