Fingerprint evidence from the Garda Technical Bureau has never been wrong, a bureau member claimed today as he was cross-examined in a double murder trial.

In March 2001, a student couple Ms Liu Qing and Mr Yue Feng, were allegedly strangled in their rented apartment in Dublin. The following night, the man accused of their murder allegedly used petrol to set fire to their bedroom, where fire officers later found their burnt remains.
