Two shotguns stolen in Drogheda robbery

A gang of three or four men has stolen two shotguns, a small amount of ammunition and an undisclosed sum of cash during a raid on a house in Drogheda, Co Louth, last night.

The masked men, who spoke with Northern accents, forced their way into the house in Ballymakenny, tied up the occupant and ransacked the property.

The raid lasted for about an hour.

Gardai are currently conducting a technical examination of the scene.
