Planning body postpones incinerator ruling

An Bord Pleanala has postponed its ruling on a controversial waste incinerator planned for Co Meath.

The county council approved the €80m Carranstown project, but concerned locals immediately appealed the decision.

An Bord Pleanala was due to issue its judgement today, but a spokesman for the planning appeals body said a decision will not be made until next week at the earliest.
