Baby killer may strike again, warn police
Police in the North are today warning that the killer of a newborn baby, found murdered in Co Down last year, could strike again.
Last March, the body of an infant girl known as Carrie was found by children in a black plastic bag. The bag had been placed in the undergrowth at the back of a leisure centre in Carryduff.
The inquest into the infant's death today stated that she had suffered 11 stab wounds to the head, body and limbs before eventually being killed by being battered.
She may have been battered against a wall, floor or hit over the head with a blunt object.
The killer has still not been found yet despite an intensive police hunt using a DNA screening campaign.
