Woman's body discovered in Sligo flat

Gardaí at Sligo are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of a woman at a flat in Sligo town.

The body was discovered in the flat on Wolfe Tone Strett at about 10am today.

The discovery was made following a call to the gardaí.

The scene has been preserved for technical examination. Assistant State Pathologist Dr Margaret Bolster and the Garda Technical Bureau are due to attend the scene.
