Nurses on work-to-rule in Naas

Nurses will issue a work-to-rule this Friday at Naas General Hospital in Co Kildare.

Naas is the latest hospital to be hit by the Irish Nurses' Organisation industrial action over on call rates.

Nurses will stage a picket on Friday between 1pm and 2pm and the protest will be followed by a complete withdrawal of administration duties the week after next.

The work-to-rule move is part of ongoing action in hospitals around the country over a claim lodged last July.
