Leading Workers Party activist Sean O'Cionnaith has died suddenly at his home in Dublin.

The 63-year-old politician joined the Workers Party in the 1950s, served as general secretary of Sinn Fein in the 1970s and was a member of several community groups, campaigns and political organisations.
