Coastguard rescues man from Spanish trawler

A crewman has been airlifted from a fishing vessel off the Cork coast.

The Spanish trawler was around 35 miles south-west of Castletownbere when the alarm was raised shortly before 11pm last night.

The man has been taken to Cork Regional Hospital where his condition is described as not life-threatening.
