Opposition attacks Govt inflation 'failure'

Fine Gael has accused the Government of fuelling inflation, despite the announcement of a 0.2% reduction in the annual inflation rate earlier today.

The Central Statistics Office announced that the rate fell to 4.8% in January, mainly due to the winter sales and lower mortgage repayments.
