Tony Blair was today hopeful that Northern Ireland’s political deadlock could be resolved in less than three weeks.

Speaking last night after a round of crunch talks with Taoiseach Bertie Ahern and the pro-Good Friday Agreement parties the British Prime Minister said they would gather again on March 3, by which time he hoped to have an agreed way forward.
