A 19-year-old man remains in custody in Limerick's Henry Street garda station following the stabbing of a man at a house in the city early this morning.

A 19-year-old man remains in custody in Limerick's Henry Street garda station following the stabbing of a man at a house in the city early this morning.

The man has been in custody since his arrest at around 8am this morning. He can be held for up to 12 hours.

The dead man, who has not yet been named, was in his late teens or early twenties.

The stabbing occurred after a row broke out at a house party in the Caherdavin area.
