Brown Thomas store damaged by flooding
A burst water main has caused millions of euros worth of damage to the exclusive Brown Thomas department store on Dublin's Grafton Street.
Shoppers and staff were evacuated from the store just after midday when water began cascading from the first floor down to lower levels.
The shop's cosmetics hall suffered the brunt of the damage.
Nobody was injured.
The cause of the incident is still unknown, but building work on the first floor of the store is believed to have triggered sprinklers designed to quench fires.
