Gardai investigate serious assault in Tralee

Gardai at Tralee are investigating a serious assault in the town last night.

A man was attacked on Bridge St at around 10pm. He received serious injuries and was taken to Tralee General Hospital where his condition is described as critical.

One man was arrested in connection with the incident and is being detained at Tralee Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
