Seized apartment block sold for €3.95m

The Criminal Assets Bureau has sold an apartment block seized from two men convicted of handling stolen property for €3.95m.

The Criminal Assets Bureau has sold an apartment block seized from two men convicted of handling stolen property for €3.95m.

The building in the Smithfield area of Dublin contains 14 apartments, two shop units and office space.

The fee, which will go into Exchequer funds, was €50,000 short of the €4m guide price.

The anonymous new owner is believed to be a well-known Dublin property developer.
