Funeral of murdered loyalist Carson to take place
The funeral takes place in the North later today of one of the two loyalists murdered on Saturday.
Robert Carson, who was shot dead on Saturday night, will be buried today after a funeral service in the loyalist Rathcoole housing estate in north Belfast.
His family have asked for no paramilitary trappings but the funeral is expected to be well attended by loyalists. The funeral of John Gregg, the south east Antrim leader of the UDA, takes place tomorrow.
Tensions remain high within the UDA as time runs out for loyalist supporters of Johnny Adair to disband or face possible revenge attacks.
The mainstream UDA has given the small number of its members still loyal to Johnny Adair until midnight tomorrow to quit the "C Company" or face the consequences.
Already several high-profile former Adair supporters have moved home and joined other units.
