Driver killed in Louth accident

One person has died in an early morning accident in Co Louth.

The driver of the car was killed when the vehicle collided with a lorry just north of Dundalk on the N1 near The Sportsman's Inn at 6am.

The lorry overturned and is presently blocking the road. Gardaí are waiting on the arrival of special lifting equipment to move it.
