There are fears that a vacant hotel destroyed by fire in County Down could collapse.

The blaze began overnight in Donaghadee. Nine fire appliances were called out. The incident began hours before the latest fire service strike across Britain and Northern Ireland was due to begin.

When the walkout started this morning, the firefighters handed control of the blaze to the army.
