Man still questioned after fatal stabbing
Police investigating the fatal stabbing of a man in Northern Ireland continued to question a man tonight.
A man died and a youth was badly wounded when they were stabbed at a flat in Bangor, Co Down this morning.
The dead man, who was 60, has still not been named by police.
Forensic officers were tonight continuing to examine the scene of the crime at a flat in the seaside town’s Dufferin Avenue.
A youth who was with him at the time needed surgery for multiple injuries.
His condition is not life-threatening, according to a hospital spokesperson.
Jane Morrice, a North Down Women’s Coalition member of the Northern Ireland Assembly, said the killing was part of an alarming culture of violence in the area.
She said: “This is an horrendous crime.”
