Taoiseach promises to get best deal possible for farmers

The Taoiseach says the Government will do all it can to get the best deal possible for Irish farmers in the mid-term review of the Common Agricultural Policy and world trade talks.

Mr Ahern told the AGM of the Irish Farmers Association however that there are real limits on what can be provided by Government to domestic agriculture in an expenditure context.
