Armed raid on security van in Dublin university
A security van has been held up at gunpoint in Dublin.
Security staff were delivering cash to a shop in the grounds of University College Dublin's campus when the raid took place.
They were approached by two raiders carrying two sawn off shot guns. They escaped with a substantial amount of cash.
Gardai in Donnybrook investigating the armed robbery say that one person escaped on a high powered silver motorbike.
The second raider is believed to have left in a blue Golf car which was found abandoned later.
Both raiders wore balaclavas during the robbery. Gardai say no shots were fired and no one was injured.
