South East rail lines to remain in operation

The Waterford-based Rail User's Alliance says it has received assurances from two Government ministers that lines in the South East will not be closed.

It follows a meeting this week with Environment and Transport Ministers, Martin Cullen and Seamus Brennan, after reports that some services were to be axed.
