ICMSA to begin week-long farm income protest

The Irish Creamery and Milk Suppliers Association is due to mount a protest outside Government buildings today in pursuit of measures to address last year's fall in farm incomes.

The protest, which follows the IFA's "tractorcade" demonstration last week, will run for 24 hours for the next week.

ICMSA president Pat O'Rourke said: "We are certainly going to bring home the message that the Government need to respond quickly in relation to the crisis that's facing farm families, but also facing rural Ireland."
