'Forced out' police chief demands inquiry
A Special Branch commander who claims he was forced to quit has demanded that a special investigator be called in to probe his allegations, it emerged tonight.
In a hard-hitting letter to the Northern Ireland Policing Board, Bill Lowry refused to supply more detail on his accusations that he was betrayed and humiliated.
