It is understood the Irish Farmers Association is planning a protest next week over farm incomes and over their dissatisfaction with the Government.

It is thought that farmers will begin their protests on Monday around the country and they will converge on the capital by next Friday.

However, Department of Agricultural officials have denied that the Government is neglecting farmer payments and needs.
