Development could boost Shannon by 50%

A new business park has been given permission to go ahead which will increase the industrial capacity of Shannon airport by as much as 50%.

A new business park has been given permission to go ahead which will increase the industrial capacity of Shannon airport by as much as 50%.

The project is being built by Concre Developments in association with Shannon Developments.

The project was expected to start in June however a nearby chemical plant, SIFA, made objections.

An Bord Pleanala have now given the go ahead for the e-business park.

In addition, Shannon Development have been given backing by the Department of Communications for the establishment of a telecommunications link around the greater Limerick area.
