Couple charged with handling stolen goods
A husband and wife have been charged with handling five valuable paintings which were stolen from a stately home in Co Wicklow.
Thomas Douglas, 52, and his wife Noeleen, 45, were charged on Saturday night with handling the stolen masterpieces at their home in Clondalkin, west Dublin.
The paintings – which include two by Rubens – were stolen three months ago from Russborough House, and were found by officers on Friday evening.
The couple were remanded in custody with consent to bail and were due to appear before Dublin District Court tomorrow.
