Murdered man identified as Eastern European

Gardai have confirmed the identity of a young man who was murdered in Dublin last night.

The man who was fatally stabbed in a basement flat was a 25-year-old Eastern European. Gardai are withholding his name until his relatives have been informed.

He was found in a flat in Seville Place in the north inner city shortly after 11.30pm last night. He was taken to the city's Mater Hospital but died just before 2am today.
