Pay agreement talks continue

Talks between the ICTU and IBEC over a national pay agreement are continuing at Government buildings.

ICTU general secretary David Begg earlier moved to dismiss reports that his organisation was setting a deadline of this evening for the talks to be concluded.

The body's president Joe O'Toole had earlier suggested that everything should be finalised ahead of tomorrow's meeting of ICTU's All-Ireland executive, which is now likely to be deferred.
