Social partners consider 18-month deal

Employers and trade unionists are reportedly considering an 18-month social partnership deal following their failure to negotiate a three-year package to replace the Programme for Prosperity and Fairness.

The two sides were locked in talks until after midnight last night and are due to resume later today.
