Spike should stop for Christmas, say FG

The Minister for Transport must stop the erecting of the spike in Dublin over the Christmas period, according to Senator Brian Hayes.

The Minister for Transport must stop the erecting of the spike in Dublin over the Christmas period, according to Senator Brian Hayes.

The Fine Gael Senator says that traffic in the capital's city centre during the Christmas period is busy and if construction continues on the giant spike, more delays will be expected.

In line with "Operation Freeflow", Senator Hayes would like to see all building on the new monument to stop until the New Year.

Councillors, along with the Minister for Transport Seamas Brennan, must now take the step to delay construction works, according to Fine Gael.
