National agency needed to direct travellers' housing: ITM

The Irish Travellers Movement says that some members of the settled community are still racist in their attitude to travellers.

The ITM has called for the establishment of a national agency to provide housing for travellers, following what they says has been the failure of local authorities to provide enough houses.

Spokesperson David Joyce says that some people have allowed their views of travellers to be prejudiced by the activities of a small minority.
