A man in his 60s has died after part of a trench collapsed on him on a road works site in Dunleer, Co Louth.

A man in his 60s has died after part of a trench collapsed on him on a road works site in Dunleer, Co Louth.

The dead man was apparently laying sewage pipes at a housing scheme in Main Street at the time of the accident. The scene has been preserved for examination by health and safety officials.
