Man in court after ecstasy seizure

A Corkman has appeared in court charged with possession of over €100,000 worth of ecstasy.

Trevor O'Sullivan with an address at 47 Castle Avenue, Muskerry Estate in Ballincollig was arrested after Gardai stopped a motorcycle in Charleville on Saturday afternoon.

Gardai said at the special sitting that they objected to bail because of the seriousness of the charge.

Mr O'Sullivan appeared in connection with a seizure of more than 10,000 tablets of ecstasy.

He is due to appear in Cork circuit court again tomorrow.
